September 29 2015
Advisory and investment firm, Adam Street Advisers Limited, has acquired Nexus Corporate Finance LLP. As a result of the deal Nexus Corporate Finance has rebranded and will continue to provide corporate finance advisory and capital raising services to small and medium size companies, entrepreneurs, management teams and private equity funds, under the Adam Street Advisers name.
Adam Street Advisers will continue to build on the firm’s long standing reputation as experts in the UK healthcare and education sectors. The team remains the same with the addition of new arrivals to follow in the autumn to support the planned growth of the business over the next few years.
Since the acquisition of Nexus Corporate Finance, Acuity Legal Limited has acquired a strategic minority stake in Adam Street Advisers, and the two firms now make up the Adam Street Group. This strategic partnership will give clients of Adam Street Advisers the ability to benefit from a combined corporate finance and legal service.
Andrew Barnsley, Founder of Adam Street Advisers, commented: "The corporate finance market is evolving. Entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium size companies and management teams want one point of contact that they can trust for their advice. Giving clients the option to combine services helps streamline the transaction process and drives efficiencies for the benefit of clients. This latest development reflects the Adam Street Advisers’ dynamic and entrepreneurial approach to identifying and capitalising on changing market opportunities."
Steve Berry, Chairman at Acuity, has joined the board of Adam Street Advisers. Steve commented: “Acuity Legal is delighted to be part of the Adam Street Group. We bring complementary skills and expertise to those of the Adam Street Advisers team and through the Adam Street Group we can offer clients the option of combined legal and corporate finance advice. We have the expertise and critical mass to build on the great reputation of both firms and this can only be good news for the clients of Adam Street Advisers and Acuity Legal.”
